Balling on a budget

The talon reel is no BS, it’s handled smaller fish and absolute brutes. I have never been afraid to take a fish to the reel with the talon. I highly recommend it!

No BS Great Reel, Incredible deal

Like many folks Tech rules right? CNC Machined, Forged or Billet Aluminum, super sweet slick sealed bearings, ceramic coated, feather weight, Blah Blah!! When I was looking to pick my next reel, of course I looked for all that "stuff". Then I realized. I bet the fish don't give two shits about all that tech and just want to bite on that sweetly placed fly you just tied on. Doing my research I quickly realized I can buy 2 complete set ups, a 4wt Gorge rod / Talon I reel and an 8wt Gorge rod with a Talon II reel. ( I already have a 5/6wt. set up.) for the rough price or less of the most kick ass set up.. Making this choice has afforded me the luxury of having a complete arsenal with 3 distinct water weapons to assault the river, and hook into the fish for every season!! When I first looked at the Talon, I was intrigued, but not sold. Then I compared the tech and came to the conclusion that this was the reel for me. now that i have these I realized the Talons look a little bit like the reels I remember growing up. seeing these freaky old dudes casting into the rivers as my brother an I simply dropped eggs, worms or periwinkles from our spinning rods. looking on in Awe. as the guy with the fly rod appeared to be having way more fun!! don't get me wrong we were catching some nice stockers. but he was going after the real deal with his fly set up the wilds and the natives.!!

Thank you MAXXON for making this possible.!!

Love Maxxon

I’m brand new to fly fishing(well fishing in general). I took my rod and reel for the first time this year and on my first cast, I caught a fish. The Talon reel was so smooth and perfect for me as a beginner. It’s been fun learning and I’m glad I have such a great product. As I progress in fly fishing, I will upgrade my equipment with Maxxon. If you’re thinking of buying Maxxon, don’t hesitate!
